Three Bucks were named as Academic All-Americans by the NJCAA Cross Country Coaches Association for their efforts in the classroom during the Fall 2019 semester.
Ahead of this weekend's NJCAA Division I Cross County National Championship, Coach Samantha Shores and Jordan Foster were named finalist for three Central Region Awards.
Fort Smith, Arkansas native and Bucks Cross Country runner, Marlenne Mendez, was honored on Tuesday morning at the annual Arkansas Community Colleges Conference in Little Rock. Mendez was selected as UA Rich Mountain's Academic All Star.
The Bucks would have all four runners finish before any other school; however, Redlands finished with the top two runners to win the Region 2 Championship. Bucks XC would finish as Runner-Ups.
The foursome of the women’s cross country team competed in the Chile Pepper Classic on Saturday morning. The Bucks competed against 347 other athletes in the college 5K race’s second heat that consisted of NJCAA, NCAA DII, and NAIA schools.
