Bucks Finish 11th Overall at National Championship

November 13, 2021 (Richmond, VA) - Looking to keep the momentum going from winning the Region II Championship a few weeks ago, the ladies of Bucks Cross Country made the nearly three day trip to Virginia. The Bucks finished 11th last season at the National Championship in Iowa and were looking for their first top 10 finish in school history this season. Earlier this season, the Bucks were as high as 7th in the national rankings.

In the 5K race, the Bucks would finish 11th overall in the National Championship, the same as last season. 

Leading the way for the Bucks was Eva Miranda-Gudino (Springdale, AR) with a time of 20:07.3, placing 25th. 

The rest of the Bucks would finish as follows:

41st - Kailey Pentz (Siloam Springs, AR) - 20:26.4

84th - Madison Dettmer (Bryant, AR) - 21:34.3

105th - Emili Jaimes Bravo (Springdale, AR) - 22:06.0

157th - Haley Magueyal-Perez (Nashville, AR) - 23:44.4

160th - Jaquelin De La Fuente (Fort Smith, AR) - 23:51.1

178th - Star Spence (Waldron AR) - 24:59.8

The Bucks will enjoy the holiday break before preparing for track season in the Spring semester.
