Bucks Fall at Home to #6 Seminole State

(April 21, 2021) Mena, Arkansas – Coming off a 3-1 victory on Sunday against Redlands, the Bucks looked to continue that momentum on Wednesday afternoon at Tapley Park against #6 Seminole State College.

In the first half, the Lady Trojans controlled possession and majority of the game was played on Seminole's end. In the 16th minute, the Lady Trojans put a ball in the upper 90 from outside the box for the first goal of the match. Seminole would add goals in the 28th and 34th minutes to take a 3-0 lead. Seven minutes after the last goal, the Bucks made a counter that resulted in a Seminole foul. On the set piece, Maradona Vilca (Hickory Creek, TX) played the ball to Jess Douglas (Gateshead, England) for a goal at the 41:21 minute mark to make it 3-1 at the half. Playing tough, the Bucks keeper, Briana Salinas (Fort Worth, TX), made 10 saves in the half.

The second half was played on Seminoles end of the field. The Bucks would hang tough, but Seminole would add a goal in the final minute to make it a 4-1 final score. In the match, Briana Salinas record 18 saves.

The Bucks play again on Friday at home against NEO.
