Bucks Blast Aggies, 3-1

(April 14, 2021) Tishomingo, Oklahoma – The Bucks five game road stretch comes to an end today at Murray State College. Looking for their first win of the season, the Bucks entered the game 0-4-0 on the season and in region play.

In the first half, the Bucks controlled the match and proved it on the scoreboard. Remmie Ferla (Corby, England) found the back of the net for the first goal of the season at the 4:12 mark in the first half. Madison Zamudio (Mansfield, TX) got the assist off a rebound. Zamudio was not done. She would team up with the other Mansfield, TX native, Isabelle Ryan, for a goal at the 15:41 mark. Isabelle played the ball across to Madison, and she put it in the upper 90 of the right corner of the goal. Less than 10 minutes later, Madison Zamudio found the back of the net again. She played the ball off a header from the Aggies. The Aggies did get a goal late in the half, but the Bucks took a 3-1 lead into the break.

In the second half, the Bucks and Aggies went back and forth, but nobody could find the back of the net. Bucks held on to their 3-1 lead at the half to win by the same score. 

In the goal this afternoon, Elizabeth Rochen (Arlington, TX) recorded 5 saves and surrendered only 1 goal. The Bucks got 18 shots off on the day and put 7 on frame with 3 landing in the back of the net. By attacking on the day, the Bucks got 4 corner kick opportunities in the win.

The win improves the Bucks record to 1-4-0 on the season and in region play.

The Bucks will play again on Friday against Eastern Oklahoma State at Bearcat Stadium.
