Bucks Blanked by #11 Rose State

(April 11, 2021) Midwest City, Oklahoma – In the condensed, COVID schedule, the Bucks travelled to Rose State College to take on the Raiders in their 3rd match in 5 days. The Bucks were looking for their first win of the season, but the 11th ranked Raiders shutout the Bucks, 6-0. The Bucks record is now 0-4-0 overall and in region play.

Rose State would find the back of the net 3 times in the first half. The first goal came at the 4:19 mark and follow with another at 14:44. The Raiders put another in the back of the net late in the half to make it 3-0 at the break.

In the 2nd half, the Raiders extended their lead with a goal at the 59:37 mark in the match. Nearly 10 minutes later, Rose State added another goal to lead 5-0. Right before the end of the match, the Raiders added their final goal at 86:59 to make it 6-0.

The Bucks would get off 9 shots in the match and put 4 on frame, but there were no corner kick opportunities as the Raiders controlled the match. Getting her first start in the goal of the season, sophomore Briana Salinas (Fort Worth, TX) recorded 18 saves, despite giving up 6 goals.

The Bucks are back on the road to Murray State College in Tishomingo, OK on Wednesday.
