Men's XC Finishes 23rd at National Championship

November 13, 2021 (Richmond, VA) - Bucks Cross Country left on Tuesday for the eastern part of the United States to wrap up their season at the NJCAA Division II National Championship. The men were looking to beat last years finish of 16th in the country in the 8K race. 

In the team competition, the Bucks would finish 23rd overall.

Leading the way for the Bucks was Miguel Diaz, Jr. (De Queen, AR) w.ith a time of 28:54.4, finishing 98th.

The rest of the Bucks would finish as follows:

123rd - Anthony Sanchez (De Queen, AR) - 29:26.9

127th - Yeremi Camacho-Vasquez (Wister, OK) - 29:34.0

129th - Tyreek Gilkey (Fort Smith, AR) – 29:35.0

169th - Jhosse Orellana (Springdale, AR) – 30:59.4

178th - Quinlan Broadway (Fort Smith, AR) - 31:32.4

203rd - Pablo Hernandez (Springdale, AR) - 33:25.3

This wraps up the Bucks season. The men will enjoy the Thanksgiving and Christmas breaks before preparing for track season.
