Bucks Finish 4th at Lois Davis Invitational

September 24, 2021 (Magnolia, Arkansas) - The Rich Mountain Bucks took the course at Southern Arkansas University's Lois David Invitational following a 3rd place finish at Ouachita Baptist on the 11th. Facing 5 other teams, including Hendrix, Arkansas-Pine Bluff and Southern Arkansas, the Bucks approached the race looking for a solid place and low score. The men are set on moving down in the NCJAA Division II rankings, and this meet was an opportunity to do just that.

The starting gun went off at 6 PM, immediately following a 2nd place finish on the girls' team. The Bucks finished strong, earning an overall place of 4th.

It was Anthony Sanchez (De Queen, AR) who crossed the finish line 1st for the Bucks, placing 20th with a time of 29:14.3.

Trying to close the gap, Tyreek Gilkey (Fort Smith, AR) and Quinlan Broadway (Fort Smith, AR) would trail not far behind in 23rd (29:32.9) and 25th (29:40.0) respectively.

The remainder of the men finished as follows:

27th - Miguel Diaz, Jr. (De Queen, AR) - 29:49.6

31st - Yeremi Comacho-Vazquez (Wister, OK) - 30:18.2

33rd - Jhosse Orellana (Springdale, AR) - 30:21.3

41st - Joshua Swint (Mena, AR) - 34:07.2
