Mena, Arkansas (August 27, 2021) – The men of Bucks Cross Country kicked off their season this evening at home for the Bucks Season Opener at the Lion's Club. The meet consisted of all NJCAA Region 2 schools: Carl Albert State College, Connors State College, National Park College, Northwest Arkansas Community College, Redlands Community College, and UA Rich Mountain.

In the team competition, the Bucks finished 2^nd behind Northwest Arkansas.

For the race, Immanuel Kipchirchir from Northwest Arkansas Community College won the race with a time of 29:05.8. Leading the way for the Bucks was Yeremi Camacho Vazquez (Wister, OK) with a time of 30:43.8, placing 5th. The remaining competitors for the Bucks finished as follows:

7^th - Tyreek Gilkey (Fort Smith, AR) – 31:28.3

8^th - Anthony Sanchez (De Queen, AR) – 31:43.4

13^th - Jhosse Orellana (Springdale, AR) – 33:19.9

22^nd - Joshua Swint (Mena, AR) – 36:10.9

27^th - Pablo Hernandez (Springdale, AR) – 38:04.9

30^th - Enrique Zapata (De Queen, AR) – 42:17.2
