(April 1, 2023) El Reno, Oklahoma - Coming off a split at home on Thursday against Redlands Community College, the Bucks were looking to pick up a series win against the Cougars on Saturday. Entering the matchup, the Bucks were 12-16 overall and 6-8 in Region II. 

The day wouldn't go the Bucks way, dropping both games of the doubleheader: 4-2 and 9-5. The Bucks are now 12-18 overall and 6-10 in the region. 

Series Highlights

Kolby Webb (Cabot, AR) - The freshmen first basemen lead the Bucks in multiple categories in the series. Webb hit for a .667 average with 6 total hits, 3 doubles, and 5 RBIs. He also tallied a run and a pair of walks with a .727 on base percentage. 

Extra Base Hits - The Bucks recorded 9 extra base hits on the week, including a solo home run from Blaine Vaughan (Grandview, TX) and a pair of triples by Brayden Sites (Sheridan, AR). 

Hit-By-Pitches - The Bucks recorded 4 hit-by-pitches on the week.

Complete Game - Jack Henry Pettit (Brookland) pitched all 9.0 innings of the Bucks win on Thursday afternoon. He struck out 5 and only walked a lone hitter in the first inning. He recorded a .778 ERA for the week. 

Strikeouts - The Bucks recorded 31 strike outs in the four games, led by Hunter Alexander (Bigelow, AR) with 7 strike outs. The Bucks gave up 14 free bases on the week. 

The Bucks now turn their attention to a busy week, including a region series with Murray State College. The series starts on Thursday at Union Bank Field and concludes on Saturday in Tishomingo, OK.
