
(November 9, 2024) Richmond, Virginia - Coming off winning the Region II Championship a few weeks ago in Bentonville, the ladies headed out earlier this week to with their sights set on a great showing at the NJCAA DII Cross Country National Championship at Pole Green Park. The ladies best finish at the National Championship came at Pole Green Park in 2021, placing 11th.
There were 317 ladies this morning in the 5K race competing for 41 colleges this morning.
Overall, the Bucks finished 13th at the National Championship and finished ahead of all other Region II competition. Mesa Community College won the race.
Individually, Darcy Vineyard (Claremore, OK) placed 9th overall with a time of 18:54.1. The top 10 finish is the best in school history for women's cross country. Vineyard was named as a NJCAA Second Team All-American at the conclusion of the event.
Sharon Strydom (Cape Town, South Africa) finished second for the ladies with a time of 20:29.6, placing 54th overall.

125th - Madyson Winn (Greenland, AR) - 21:32.4
130th - Annabelle Cupps (Cabot, AR) - 21:36.0
177th - Adriana Montiel (De Queen, AR) - 22:19.8
188th - Karen Campos (Pittsburg, TX) - 22:27.3
189th - Avery Carter (Siloam Springs, AR) - 22:30.3.

After one of the best seasons in school history, the ladies will enjoy the holiday season before coming back in the spring to prepare for the track season.
