(October 18, 2024) Clinton, Mississippi - After a few weeks to rest, the ladies hit the course again this morning for a 6K race at Choctaw Trails. The ladies are in their final tune-up race before the Region II Championship next week in Bentonville. Today's race was hosted by Mississippi College.
There were 179 runners in the 6K race that ran for 24 colleges and universities. There were NCAA DI, DII, & DIII universities in attendance, as well at NAIA and NJCAA colleges.
The ladies finished 13th overall that was good enough to be the #1 junior college team in the race.
The Bucks were led by Darcy Vineyard (Claremore, OK) who finished 11th overall with a time of 23:24.9. This not only breaks Kailey Pentz's school record, but her performance this morning set the bar even higher by +1:17. Following Vineyward was Sharon Strydom (Cape Town, South Africa), placing 49th with a time of 24:50.0.

143rd - Jocelyn Hernandez (Mena, AR) - 30:19.3

Next up, the Bucks will run for a chance at the Region II Championship crown on Saturday, October 26th, at Northwest Arkanas Communtiy College in Bentonville.
