Ladies Finish 11th in Prairie Fire Pepper 5K

(September 28, 2024) Fayetteville, Arkansas - After a successful start to their season, the ladies returned to the course this afternoon at the Chile Pepper Festival. The Bucks ran in the Prairie Fire Pepper 5K race against 28 other colleges/universities. There were a total of 187 athletes in the race.

The ladies finished 11th overall in the 5K race. Saint Mary (NE) won the race. The Bucks finished 2nd amongst region competition. 

Darcy Vineyard (Claremore, OK) led the way for the ladies with a 19:52.4, placing 22nd. Sharon Strydom (Cape Town, South Africa) finished nearly a minute behind with a 20:50.7, placing 39th.

The rest of the ladies finished as follows: 

85th - Madyson Winn (Greenland, AR) - 22:20.2

92nd - Annabelle Cupps (Cabot, AR) - 22:34.7

98th - Avery Carter (Siloam Springs, AR) - 22:44.8

103rd- Adriana Montiel (De Queen, AR) - 22:49.3

121st - Karen Campos (Pittsburg, TX) - 23:20.8
