Ladies Finish 28th in DII National Championship

(November 12, 2022) Tallahassee, Florida – A long, nearly four-month season came to an end for the ladies of Bucks Cross Country this morning. The team struck out on Wednesday morning for Florida to run in the NJCAA DII National Championship. The 5K race was held at Apalachee Regional Park this morning with an early race time. The women finished 28th overall in a field of 218 runners.

Like past races, Kaley Nicholson (Edgewood, TX) led the way for the Bucks, placing 137th with a time 23:11.6. Behind her was Dariana Mendez-Hernandez (Fort Smith, AR) with a time of 24:21.2, placing 168th.

The remaining Bucks finished as follows:

182nd - Mckenzi Stidman (Waldron, AR) – 25:08.0

183rdFaith Rainwater (Mansfield, AR) – 25:09.9

203rdHope Rainwater (Mansfield, AR) – 27:35.0

The race ended the ladies' season. In the spring semester, the Bucks will turn their attention to the track and compete in races in the region.
