Women's XC Compete in Prairie Fire Pepper 5K

(September 30, 2022) Fayetteville, Arkansas - After returning to the course last week in Mississippi, the ladies now travelled north up I49 to compete in the Chile Pepper Classic. In the Chile Pepper, there are two seperate women's college races: the Prairie Fire Pepper 5K and the Women's College 5K. The Bucks participated in the Prairie Fire Pepper 5K against 33 other teams and a total of 275 runners. The ladies would finish the race in 34th place.

Freshmen Kaley Nicholson (Edgewood, TX) led the way for the Bucks in 135th place with a time of 21:17.8. Mckenzi Stidman (Waldron, AR) was the second runner across the line for the Bucks with a time of 23:27.5 and placed 223rd. The rest of the ladies finished as follows:

256th - Brandy Hernandez (Cabot, AR) - 25:24.3

257th - Dariana Mendez-Hernandez (Fort Smith, AR) - 25:31.0

259th - Faith Rainwater (Mansfield, AR) - 25:50.1

264th - Hope Rainwater (Mansfield, AR) - 26:38.5

The Bucks now have a couple weeks off before travelling to Magnolia, AR to run in the Lois Davis Invitational.
