Bucks Finish Sixth in 6K Race at Choctaw Trails

(September 24, 2022) Clinton, Mississippi - The ladies had a much needed few weeks off and were able to run as a team for the second time this season with all six runners in competition for the first time this season. The Bucks were one of 10 teams in the race that included 81 competitors. The ladies normally run a 5K race, but they would compete in a 6K run at Choctaw Trails. The race was hosted by Mississippi College and included NCAA DI, DII, and DIII schools.

The Bucks finished 6th out of 10 teams this morning. For the fourth time this season, Kaley Nicholson (Edgewood, TX) led the way with a 26:19.9, placing 35th. Coming in behind her for the Bucks was Faith Rainwater (Mansfield, AR), placing 48th with a time of 28:41.5. The rest of the Bucks finished as follows:

52nd - Brandy Hernandez (Cabot, AR) - 29:08.1

53rd - Mckenzi Stidman (Waldron, AR) - 29:33.2

57th - Dariana Mendez-Hernandez (Fort Smith, AR) - 30:14.7

60th - Hope Rainwater (Mansfield, AR) - 32:41.9

At this point, the Bucks are halfway through their Fall season and will compete again next Friday, September 30th, in Fayetteville at the Chile Pepper Classic.
