Mena, Arkansas (August 26, 2022) – The women of Bucks Cross Country kicked off their season this evening at home for the Bucks Season Opener at the Lion's Club. The meet consisted of all NJCAA Region 2 schools: Carl Albert State College, National Park College, Northwest Arkansas Community College, Redlands Community College, and UA Rich Mountain.

The Bucks would finish in second place behind Northwest Arkansas Community College.

Leading the way for the Bucks and the overall winner of the race was Kaley Nicholson (Edgewood, TX) with a time of 22:25.7. Shortly behind her was Faith Rainwater (Mansfield, AR) with a time of 23:28.5.

The remaining competitors for the Bucks finished as follows:

18^th - McKenzi Stidman (Waldron, AR) – 27:26.9

22^nd - Dariana Mendez-Hernandez (Fort Smith, AR) – 29:35.6

23^rd - Brandy Hernandez (Cabot, AR) – 30:08.0
