Bucks Repeat as Region II Champions

October 30, 2021 (Mena, Arkansas) - In the fourth season of Bucks Cross Country, the Bucks have won two out of the three Region II Championships in previous season. The Bucks were looking for their third region championship this morning at their home course, the Lion's Club. The Bucks were running with other Region II Schools: Carl Albert State College, Connors State College, National Park College, Northwest Arkansas Community College, and Redlands Community College. 

For the third time in four years, the Bucks would repeat and win the Region II Championship this morning. 

Leading the way for the Bucks was Kailey Pentz (Siloam Springs, AR) with a time of 20:47.0, placing 1st. This would qualify her for the All-Region Team and as the Region II Individual Champion.

The rest of the Bucks would finish as follows:

2nd - Eva Miranda-Gudino (Springdale, AR) - 21:43.1 - All-Region Team

4th - Emili Jaimes Bravo (Springdale, AR) - 23:21.7 - All-Region Team

13th - Haley Magueyal-Perez (Nashville, AR) - 24:56.3

14th - Jaquelin De La Fuente (Fort Smith, AR) - 25:09.5

19th - Star Spence (Waldron, AR) - 26:21.3

The Bucks will have a few weeks to prepare for the NJCAA Division II National Championship that will be held in Richmond, Virginia on November 13th.
