Bucks Place 21st at Chile Pepper Festival

October 1, 2021 (Fayetteville, Arkansas) - Following an impressive 2nd place finish at Southern Arkansas University, the 7th ranked Rich Mountain Bucks traveled to Fayetteville, Arkansas to compete at a much larger and competitive meet: the Chile Pepper Cross Country Festival. The Ladies ran against 39 opposing teams, including the University of Arkansas Fort Smith, Harding and Cowley College. Enduring an unfamiliar environment and intense competition, the Bucks took the course aiming for personal best times and managed a 21st place finish.

Kailey Pentz (Siloam Springs, AR) took the lead for the Bucks and crossed the finish line at 55th with a time of 20:33.3. 

Also a part of the Buck's front pack, Eva Miranda-Gudino (Springdale, AR) and Madison Dettmer (Bryant, AR) finished shortly after with at 101st (21:32.1) and 132nd (22:12.4) place.

146th - Emili Bravo Jaimes (Springdale, AR) - 22:47.1

188th - Jaquelin De La Fuente (Fort Smith, AR) - 24:24.3

195th - Olivia Orr (Bryant, AR) - 25:00.2

196th - Haley Magueyal-Perez (Nashville, AR) - 25:02.8

208th - Star Spence (Waldron, AR) - 25:59.7

The women will face the starting line again on October 9, this time competing on a 6k course at the Mississippi College Watson Invitational.
