September 24, 2021 (Magnolia, Arkansas) - Coming off a 4th place finish last meet at Ouachita Baptist, the Rich Mountain Bucks headed to Southern Arkansas University to compete at the Lois Davis Invitational against 6 teams, including Hendrix, Southern Arkansas and Jackson State. Despite facing a challenging course and tough competition, the Bucks approached the starting line looking for personal records and a strong finish.
Their race began at 5:30 PM, and by 6:00 PM, all 8 Bucks would cross the finish line, placing 2nd overall.
Leading the way for the Bucks, Kailey Pentz (Siloam Springs, AR) finishing 9th with a time of 21:03.8.
Following not far behind was Eva Miranda-Gudino (Springdale, AR) and Madison Dettmer (Bryant, AR) in 12th (21:34.3) and 13th (21:47.8) places respectively.
The remaining teammates finished as follows:

28th - Jaquelin De La Fuente (Fort Smith, AR) - 24:02.9

The Bucks currently rank 7th in the Nation for NCJAA Division II and hope to progress to the top 5 as their season continues.
The women can be expected to race again next weekend at Fayetteville, Arkansas for the Chile Pepper Classic.
