Women's XC Finishes 3rd at Lion's Club Invitational

(October 9, 2020) Mena, AR– Coming off their first race of the season and being ranked for the first time in school history (#8 in NJCAA DII), the women of Bucks Cross Country ran Friday morning at the Lion's Club Disc Golf Course. The Bucks would finish third out of 6 total teams (Central Baptist College, Philander Smith, Rogers State University, and UA Fort Smith). There were 39 total runners in the 5K race.

Finishing first in the race was Gloria Butts of Rogers State with a time of 19:48.5. Leading the way for the Bucks was Olivia Orr (Bryant, AR) with a time of 21:51.2 placing 12th. Other runners for the women were as follows:

19th - Kailey Pentz (Siloam Springs, AR) – 22:59.2

22nd - Dirie Balderas (Fort Smith, AR) – 23:25.1

23rd - Emili Bravo (Sprindale, AR) – 23:27.2

24th - Darriana Franklin (Fort Smith, AR) – 23:35.7

25th - Haley Magueyal-Perez (Nashville, AR) – 23:41.4

31st - Shannan Gardner (Ward, AR) – 24:59.3

34th - Julianna Kennedy (Mena, AR) – 26:47.3
