Panthers Shutout the Bucks, 2-0

(September 14, 2022) Chanute, Kansas - Coming off a road win against Crowder on Sunday, the Bucks once again loaded the bus and headed north. This time, the women headed to Kansas to take on Neosho County Community College in a non-region match this evening. The Bucks are 2-4 overall on the season, while the Panthers come into the match 1-4 overall.

In the first half, the Bucks controlled the match for most of the first half. The Bucks maintained possession and had opportunities to score but were unsuccessful. In return, the few counters and runs that the Panthers made, the Bucks defense would stop the attack. The match was 0-0 at the half.

Neosho County took the second half kick and went straight down the slideline and played a ball in the middle of the field that was put into the back of the net in the first 30 seconds of the half to make it 1-0. The Bucks continued to fight and maintain possession of the ball, but the ladies couldn't move the ball as well in the second half. Both teams went back and forth until the Panthers would add a second goal at 72:57 to increase their lead. The Bucks continued to press, but the ladies were unsuccessful in finding the back of the net. The Bucks fell 2-0.

The ladies are back in action this Sunday, September 18th, at home verse Northeastern Oklahoma A&M. The Bucks are 1-3 in conference play, while the Lady Norse are 0-4. Kickoff is scheduled for 2 pm.
