Two Women Make All-Region II Soccer Team

(May 13, 2021) Enid, Oklahoma - On the opening day of the Region II Tournament, the NJCAA Region II Soccer annouced their All-Region Team before the Bucks matchup with NOC - Tonkawa. The Bucks had 2 ladies named All-Region 2nd Team: Remmie Ferla (Corby, England) and Jess Douglas (Gateshead, England).

 

Despite battling a knee injury most of the Spring semester, Remmie Ferla made enough of an impression on the Region II soccer coaches to be named to the All-Region 2nd Team. She played is 12 games this season and scored 20 points on the season, with 9 goals and 2 assists. Remmie was instrumental in the Bucks late run to qualify for the Region II Tournament, infact she was name as the DI Women's Soccer National Player of the Week by the NJCAA after scoring 6 goals in the Bucks 3-game winning streak from May 2nd to May 7th, including a hat-trick against Redlands CC on May 5th. 

The center-midfielder played in all 14 regular season games for the Bucks this season. Jess Douglas tallied a total of 9 points, with 4 goals and 1 assist. One of her goals was the game winner in overtime on the road against Eastern Oklahoma on May 2nd. Jess would be considered the glue in the middle of the Bucks formation and was vital in their push to the Region II Tournament.
