(April 17, 2025) Hot Springs, Arkansas - After a pair of region wins at home over Carl Albert on Tuesday, the Bucks hit the road this morning for the Spa City to take on National Park College. Entering the game, UARM and NPC shared identical region records and were looking to take soul possession of second place in Region II.
The Bucks would do just that with a pair of wins at Majestic Park: 7-0 and 7-5. The ladies now have an overall record of 33-10 and sport a 17-3 record in region play.
Offensively, the Bucks scored their runs in bunches. Thanks mostly to a pair of 3-run bombs by Emma Reynolds (Cayuga, TX) and Jaliyah Simmons (Muskogee, OK). Simmons recorded 5 hits in the doubleheader with a pair of singles and doubles with the homerun. It was her 16th homer of the season, and she also drove in 5 RBIs. Simmons also scored 4 times to make her the season record holder for runs scored with a couple weeks left in the 2025 regular season.
Linley Collins (Whitesboro, OK) also had one of her best days at the platewith 4 hits, including a double with 2 RBIs and 2 runs scored. Reynolds drove in 4 runs with her homer and a double. Kamryn Uher (Prairie Grove, AR) continues to be a ball magnet with another hit-by-pitch. She has 16 HBPs on the season. She also had 3 hits on the day.
Addisyn Wright (Buffalo Valley, OK) got it done in the circle, throwing a complete game shutout to begin the day. Wright (9-3) gave up 0 runs on 5 hits.
The Bucks sent three pitchers to the circle in the second game. Holly Raney (Mayflower, AR) pitched 4.0 innings in relief, giving up 2 runs on 4 hits with 4 strikeouts. Raney (9-4) got her nineth win of the season. Hayden White (Red Oak, OK) came on the pitch and recorded her 4th save of the season in 1.0 inning of work.
