
(April 8, 2025) Mena, Arkansas - The week continued this afternoon for the Bucks against region foe North Arkansas College. Today's doubleheader was their second of four this week against region competition, three of which are at Cummings-Cecil Field. The ladies were looking to remain undefeated in region play and were looking to stay undefeated against North Arkansas in the program's history.
The ladies would do just that and run-ruled North Arkansas: 9-1 and 11-3, both games in 6-innings.
Offensively, the Bucks recorded 27 hits in the doubleheader, including 10 extra base hits. Jaliyah Simmons (Muskogee, OK) recorded four hits on the day with a pair of triples. Emily Stout (Vilonia, AR) and Kyson Vap (Newkirk, OK) also recorded a triple. Brenli Baker (Enid, OK) hit a pair of doubles with four other ladies hitting a double a piece.
No day was bigger than Emma Reynolds (Cayuga, TX). The sophomore had 5 hits and 3 RBIs. Kamryn Uher (Prairie Grove, AR) and Stout both had a pair of RBIs, while Uher continues to build on her hit-by-pitch record with 2 in the first game.
It was a two pitcher show for the Bucks in the circle. Both starters would go the distance, getting wins. Hayden White (Red Oak, OK) gave up 1 run on 1 hit and struck out 4 to remain undefeated on the season (5-0). Maggie Pate (Hughes Springs, TX) pitched the second game, giving up 3 runs on 2 hits. Pate (3-1) struck out 3 on the day.
The ladies are now 28-7 overall and 12-0 in region play heading into a top 20 matchup on Thursday against #2 Murray State College. First pitch is scheduled for 12 pm at Cummings-Cecil Field.
