(April 7, 2025) Mena, Arkansas - The ladies finally returned to the diamond this afternoon against only playing one date in a 2-week time frame. The ladies concluded their region series with SAU Tech this afternoon at Cummings-Cecil Field. The Bucks took both games in Camden earlier this season. The ladies are currently #20 in the latest NJCAA DII Softball ranking with an 24-7 overall record before the doubleheader this afternoon.
It was all Bucks on the day, as the ladies swept the season series with SAU Tech. The Bucks won 4-1 and 16-4 on the day to extend their season record to 26-7 overall and 10-0 in region play.
The Bucks scored 20 runs on 15 hits on the afternoon. Emma Reynolds (Cayuga, TX) and Emily Stout (Vilonia, AR) led the ladies with 3 hits a piece, including combining for 4 extra base hits. Reynolds had a double, triple, a 2-run home run, and 4 RBIs on the day. Stout doubled with a RBI and scored a pair of runs.
Brenli Baker (Enid, OK) and Linley Collins (Whitesboro, OK) both had a pair of hits and drove in a pair of runs in the wins. Jaliyah Simmons (Muskogee, OK) recorded a pair of hits and scored 4 times.
In the circle, Addisyn Wright (Buffalo Valley, OK) got the start and went the distance to begin the afternoon. Wright (7-3) gave up 1 run on 5 hits and struck out 8 in the outing. Concluding the series, Kamryn Uher (Prairie Grove, AR) got the start in the circle and lasted 3.1 innings. Uher (1-0) got her first win, giving up 3 runs on 3 hits and struck out 1.
The ladies will now play again tomorrow at home against North Arkansas. First pitch is scheduled for 2 pm at Cummings-Cecil Field.
