
(March 15, 2025) Mena, Arkansas - What has felt like a long week for the ladies ended on Saturday at Cummings-Cecil Field. The ladies finished their 4-game region series with ASU Three Rivers after taking down SAU Tech on Thursday in Camden. The ladies entered the day 18-7 overall with a 4-0 record in region play, while ASUTR was searching for their first win of the season.
It was all Bucks on the day at McMillan Park. The ladies ended both games in run-rules over the Lady Eagles: 14-1 and 13-1. Both were well rounded wins for the Bucks.
Offensively, the ladies cranked out 25 hits with 11 being extra base hits. The Bucks would hit 3 long balls on the day as Mallory Cheek (Lumberton, TX) hit one in each game, and Jaliyah Simmons (Muskogee, OK) hit one in the first game. Both Cheek and Simmons drove in 5 runs on the day. Emma Reynolds (Cayuga, TX) continued to add to her triples record, now at 16 in her career. She would drive in 3 runs on the day. Kamryn Uher (Prairie Grove, AR) continues to be a ball magnet and added to her career record of hit-by-pitches (14). She now needs 1 more to tie the season record at 12.
In the circle, Addisyn Wright (Whitesboro, OK) and Holly Raney (Mayflower, AR) both got wins in their starts. Wright (4-3) pitched a compete game, 5.0 innings, to start the day with 5 strike outs. She would give up 1 run on 5 hits. Raney (6-3) pitched 4.0 innings to get her team leading sixth win. She would give up an unearned run on 2 hits and struck out a lone hitter in the outing.
The ladies increased their record to 20-7 overall and 6-0 in region play. The Bucks will take a break from region games with a pair of home doubleheaders this week at Cummings-Cecil Field. They will host Ouachita Baptist JV on Monday at 2 pm, and then take on Fort Scott Community College on Wednesday.
