Bucks Swept by Seminole in Regular Season Finale

(May 5, 2021) Seminole, Oklahoma – Coming off a doubleheader loss at home yesterday, the Bucks headed to take on nationally ranked Seminole State College to wrap up their regular season.

Game 1

In the top of the 1st, the Bucks took the lead on Gracie Kimbrell's solo homer to left field. In the bottom half, Hannah Hunter got the start in the circle and head the Lady Trojan's scoreless through the first 2 innings. Seminole got it going in the bottom of the 3rd with 3 runs and then exploded in the bottom of the 4th with 14 runs to win 17-1 in 5 innings.

Hannah Hunter lasted 3.1 innings before being relieved by Autumn Powell. Powell pitched 0.2 innings.

Game 2

Wrapping up the series, Brooke Detommaso got the start in the circle for the Bucks. The Lady Trojans scored 2 runs in the first, a run in the second, 4 runs in the third, and 3 more runs in the bottom of the 4th to win 10-2 in 5 innings.

The Bucks runs came in the fourth inning. Madelynn Lacaze and Gracie Kimbrell led off the inning with back-to-back singles. Both advanced on a ground out before Madison Humphry's RBI single. An error allowed Kimbrell to score on the same play.

In the loss, Brooke Detommaso (0-2) pitched 4 innings, giving up 10 runs (8 earned) on 13 hits.

The doubleheader wraps up the Bucks regular season with a record of 19-37 overall on the season. The Bucks will take some time off and wait for their fate in the region tournament.
