Bucks Finish Second at Ouachita Baptist

(September 7, 2024) Arkadelphia, Arkansas - After a very successful start to their season last week at Central Arkansas. The men were set to run their first 8K of the season this morning at Ouachita Baptist University in the annual Bob Gravett Invitational. The men were competing with NCAA DII Ouachita Bapist, NCAA DIII Hendrix College, and Region II foe National Park College. 

The men came away with a second place finish in the race, behind Ouachita Baptist. From year's past, the course had been redone due to some construction in the area.

Last week's front man, Danny Lamas (Dodge City, KS), led the way again for the Bucks. He would finish 12th overall out of 43 finishing runners. Lamas had a time of 28:01.35. Tommy Banks (Houston, TX) and Alfred Rodriguez (Dalhart, TX) also finished with sub 30 minute races. Banks finished 25th with a 29:28.12, while Rodriguez finished 29th with a 29:55.59.

The rest of the Bucks finished as follows:

32nd - Yermy Gonzalez (Horatio, AR) - 30:13.17

33rd - Beau Reed (Moore, OK) - 30:13.46

35th - Noah Burns (Weatherford, TX) - 31:11.38

36th - Desmond Thompson (Fort Smith, AR) - 31:31.28

40th - Montana Wesley (Waldron, AR) - 32:49.75

The men will race again next Friday, September 13th, at Harding University.
