Bucks Finish 34th at Chile Pepper Festival

(September 30, 2022) Fayetteville, Arkansas - The Bucks were back in action this afternoon at the Chile Pepper Festival, home of the Arkansas Razorbacks. The men competed in the Prairie Fire 8K race against 37 other colleges and universities. There were a total of 348 runners in the race this afternoon. The men finished 34th overall as a team.

Fort Smith, AR native Tyreek Gilkey led the way for the Bucks in 220th place with a time of 29:48.7. Freshmen Luis Morales (Glenwood, AR) finished close behind with a time of 30:50.6 and placed 257th. The rest of the Bucks finished as follows:

263rd - Emmanuel Cartagena (Sherman, TX) - 31:01.4

265th - Christian Hernandez (Bryant, AR) - 31:17.6

270th - Juan Balderas (De Queen, AR) - 31:32.6

271st - Pablo Hernandez (Springdale, AR) - 31:32.7

The Bucks have a week off before returning to action on October 14th at the Lois Davis Inviational on the campus of Southern Arkansas University in Magnolia.
