Mena, Arkansas (August 26, 2022) – The men of Bucks Cross Country kicked off their season this evening at home for the Bucks Season Opener at the Lion's Club. The meet consisted of all NJCAA Region 2 schools: Carl Albert State College, Connors State College, National Park College, Northwest Arkansas Community College, Redlands Community College, and UA Rich Mountain.

The 8K race was won by Northwest Arkansas Community College with the Bucks finishing a distant second place.

Leading the way for the Bucks was Connor Hayes (Versailles, KY) in 8^th place with a time of 30:25.0.

The remaining competitors for the Bucks finished as follows:

17^th - Christian Hernandez (Bryant, AR) – 32:57.6

20^th - Juan Balderas (De Queen, AR) – 33:15.4

24^th - Tyreek Gilkey (Fort Smith, AR) – 33:40.3

26^th - Pablo Hernandez (Springdale, AR) – 33:54.3

28^th - Emmanuel Cartagena (Sherman, TX) – 35:00.2

38^th - Wilson Hughes (Mena, AR) – 38:41.7

43^rd - Luis Morales (Glenwood, AR) – 43:16.9
