Bucks Finish 6th in First Race of the Season

Commerce, TX (October 2, 2020) – Bucks Cross Country competed this afternoon at Centennial Park and finished fifth. UT-Tyler won the 8K race. There were 7 total colleges and universities (UA Rich Mountain, Central Baptist College, UT-Tyler, Cameron University, Jacksonville College, Dallas Baptist, and Texas A&M Commerce) competing with 61 total men competitors.

For the race, Nicodemus Rotich from Texas A&M Commerce won the race with a time of 24:59.86. Leading the way for the Bucks was sophomore Jordan Foster (Mena, AR) with a time of 27:27.72 placing 30th. Other competitors for the Bucks finished as follows:

41st - Clint Buck (Mena, AR) – 28:48.39

45th - Quinlan Broadway (Fort Smith, AR)– 28:59.94

46th - Chris York (Vilonia, AR)– 29:40.72

50th - Miguel Diaz, Jr. (De Queen, AR) – 30:26.69

52nd - Robert McIntyre (Mena, AR) – 31:40.59

55th  - Asael Sanchez (De Queen, AR)– 33:17.66

56th - Osman Flores (Rogers, AR) – 33:17.71

58th - Enrique Zapata (De Queen, AR)– 37:04.99

The men will be back in action next Friday, at their home meet, the Lion's Club Invitational. The Bucks will run following the women with a 10 am.
