(March 20, 2025) Arkadelphia, Arkansas - The Bucks headed to Ouachita Baptist University on Thursday morning for the Ouachita Invitational. The Bucks had some time off and needed to get a meet in before Spring Break. The men will compete again on April 5th at Harding University in the Bryan Phillips Open.

Yermy Gonzalez (Horatio, AR) would continue his streak of finishin in the top 10 in the 1500 meter run. The sophomore had a 6th place finish with a time of 4:14.26. There was 20 runners in the race.

The Bucks also had a pair of top 10 finishes in the 400 meter dash this afternoon. Desmond Thompson (Fort Smith, AR) and Noah Olivarez (Fort Smith, AR) would finish 7th and 9th, respectively. Thompson set a personal record with a time of 54.78, while Olivarez recorded a time of 57.16. 

The day of top 10 finishes continued with Darryn Weaver (Diabol, TX) finishing 10th in the 100 meter dash. The sophomore ran an 11.35 in the competition that included 15 runners. He would also finish 9th overall in the 200 meter dash to end his day with a time of 23.52. 

The rest of the day finished as follows: 

1500 meter run

13th - Alfred Rodriguez (Dalhart, TX) - 4:33.92

19th - Noah Burns (Weatherford, TX) - 4:56.40 

800 meter run

11th - Alfred Rodriguez - 2:02.81

18th - Yermy Gonzalez - 2:05.46

The Bucks will now have some time off before heading to Harding in a few weeks.
