
(March 8, 2025) Searcy, Arkansas - The Bucks travelled on Saturday to Harding University for the Bison Invitational. Last week, the men had a successful start to their season at the Hendrix Invitational. The conditions were almost a 180 from last weekend, as the men had to endure the rain, wind, and cold that was making its way through Arkansas this weekend.
Jequavious Mckenzie (Camden, AR) continued to compete in his usual 400 meter and 200 meter events. In the 400 meter dash, he would place 10th overall with a time of 51.57. There was 35 runners in 6 heats in the 400 meter dash. Mckenzie would finish just outside the top 10 in the 200 meter dash with a time of 23.10. The time was good enough for 11th overall out of 37 sprinters.
The Bucks had a pair finish in the top 10 in the 800 meter run on Saturday afternoon. Yermy Gonzalez (Horatio, AR) would finish 6th overall with a time of 2:01.92, while Alfred Rodriguez (Dalhart, TX) finished 10th with a time of 2:03.19 out of 26 runners. It was a personal record for Rodriguez.

The Bucks will now take a weekend off and kick off their spring break at the Richard Martin Jr. Invitational. The meet is hosted by the University of Central Arkansas.
