(August 18, 2022) Coffeyville, Kansas – To start the fourth season of Bucks Soccer, the men were coming off their second Region II Championship in three years. This officially began the Casey Weil era at UA Rich Mountain. Coach Weil took over a squad outside looking in at the playoffs last year and led the Bucks to a Region II Championship. The Bucks travelled to Coffeyville, KS to take on the preseason 8^th ranked Red Ravens.

The first half seen most of the play happen in the middle third of the field. Both teams' defenses remained strong and held off any attack from their opponents. The Bucks got one corner kick in the half, while freshmen goalkeeper Connor Wachtel (Grapevine, TX) had 3 saves in the first 45 minutes to keep the match at 0-0.

The second half was completely controlled by the Red Ravens. Coffeyville scored 4 unanswered goals in the 65^th, 68^th, 71^st, and 80^th minutes to win 4-0. Wachtel recorded 7 saves in the match.

The Bucks are back in action on Monday in Clarksville, AR against University of the Ozarks. Kickoff is scheduled for 5:30 pm.
