Bucks Continue 4 Game Victory Streak

October 21, 2002 (Mena, Arkansas) The Rich Mountain Bucks approached their home field coming off a 3 game win streak. With the men improving throughout the season and having already earned a win against Northeastern Oklahoma A&M, it was expected to be a good game. After an impressive game on the Buck's side, the mean earned a win of 5-0.

The Bucks started strong, gaining a lead in the 10th minute with a score off the foot of Kason, assisted by Dawson. It wouldn't be long before the ball would find the back of the net once again in the 13th minute thanks to another goal by Kason Shrum and assist by Steven Armstrong, putting another point on the score board.

The Bucks and Northeastern Oklahoma A&M would go back and forth for the remainder of the half, but neither team would score again until the 43th minute when Antonio Galarzo scored off of an assist by Dawson Sawyer, earning the men their 3th goal of the evening.

The opposing team made several solid attempts to score, but the Bucks held strong and goal keeper Edward Garcia refused any goals and had 6 saves, ending the half with a score of 3-0.

The Bucks returned to the field with just as much determination in the second half as the first. Within the first 2 minutes of the half, Steven Armstrong scored with the help of an assist by Antonio Galarzo. The men held their lead and eventually gained another point off the foot of Bailey, after Josh Dillon assisted, bring their lead to a strong 5-0 score.

Edward Garcia continued to make multiple saves throughout the half. The opposing team would manage one goal in the final minute of the game, but wouldn't come close to defeated the Bucks, with a final score of 5-1.
