(October 10, 2023) Mena, Arkansas - A new sport began last week at UA Rich Mountain. The Esports team kicked off their first week of full competition in team and individiual games: Overwatch 2, Mario Kart 4v4 Open, Warzone, Smash Bros Open, & Mario Kart Tier 2. 

After a full week of competition, the Bucks did well in their team games, getting a pair of wins in Overwatch 2 and Mario Kart 4v4.

Overwatch 2:

• 3-1 win against Centralia College in Centralia, Washington
• Team members include Karlie Andren, Emmanuel Cartagena, Clayton Thompson, Eli Sirmon, Travis Hughes, & Desmond Thompson. 

Mario Kart 4v4 Open:

• 2-1 win against Danville Area Community College in Danville, Illinois.
• Team members include Andren, Cartagena, Sirmon, Thompson, Bailynn Dehart, and Head Coach Jack Harrison. 

Warzone:

• 2-1 Loss against Dallas College North Lake in Irving, Texas.
• Team members include Andren, Cartagena, and Ian Hansen.

Mario Kart Tier 2:

• Forfeit win due to technical issues for Eli Sirmon against "DoctorBuzz" from Lakeland College in Kirkland, Ohio.
• 4-0 Loss for Karlie Andren against "TheDoorman" from Northwest College in Powell, Wyoming.

The Bucks will continue with their Fall Schedule through November.
