Bucks Run-Rule ASU Mid-South

(April 12, 2024) Millington, Tennessee - Coming off a season series win last week over National Park, the Bucks were looking to do the same this week against ASU Mid-South. Today's single 9-inning contest was moved to USA Stadium due to the week's rain. The series will conclude on Sunday at Union Bank Field in Mena with a doubleheader. First pitch at 1 pm.

It was a slow start for the Bucks, but the offense got going in the top of the fifth inning with a 2-0 lead. The Bucks would put up a crooked number in the inning, scoring 9-runs. The inning was highlighted by back-to-back 2-RBI doubles by Aiden McGinnis (Jasper, AL) and Jack Bilski (La Porte, TX). No hit in the inning was bigger than the 2-run home run by shortstop Diego Archila (Baton Rouge, LA). Cody Hayes (Corsicana, TX) and Trace Watkins (Sheridan, AR) hit RBI singles in the inning, while Ian Smith (Bismarck, AR) walked to pick up a RBI. The Bucks led 11-0 after the inning.

The men added another run in the top of the seventh on a RBI double by Caden Brown (Van Buren, AR) before Ethan Diaz (Minneola, FL) closed out his complete game on the mound.

Diaz (5-2) pitched 7.0 innings, giving up 0 runs on 2 hits. The righthander would strike out 7 in the outing.
