
(June 16, 2025) Mena, Arkansas - Head Softball Coach Tracy Nealy is excited to add Assistant Coach Bo Wideman to his staff for the 2025-26 year. Coach Wideman comes to UARM from Texas, where he has coached at the high school and club level for over 20 years. Wideman joins Assistant Coach Kristen McMillan to complete Coach Nealy's staff.
Coach Wideman has been a Head Coach, Program Director, or Recruiting Coordinator for Texas Blast Softball, Southern Force, Firecrackers CTX, and Swarm Gold Softbal in Central Texas. He has led teams to national berths in ASA, USSSA, Triple Crown, and USA Softball. He also has been successful on the baseball diamond as a coach. Wideman has served as a private hitting instructor and recruiter for a vast number of players in softball that have gone on to succeed at the collegiate level. He most recently has served as the Head Softball Coach at Oglesby ISD.
Originally from Lufkin, Texas, Wideman graduated from Angelina College in 1996, before enlisting in the United State Navy in 1999, where he served for 5 years. He holds another Associate's Degree from McLennan College (2015) and holds a Bachelor's Degree (2018) and a pair of Master's Degrees (MBA in 2020 and Human Resource Management in 2021) from Tarleton State University.
Coach Wideman is married to his wife, Tammy. They have 8 children, who all have college degrees: Desiree', Aimee, Hannah, Sophie, Will, Emma, Abigail, and Andrew.
