Five XC Athletes Named as Fall 2020 Academic All-Americans

(March 3, 2021) Mena, Arkansas - The NJCAA Cross Country Coaches Association recently released their individual and team Academic All-American listings with five Bucks athletes making the list. To be named an Individual Academic All-American, a student-athlete must be enrolled as a full-time student and complete the Fall semester with a 3.4 GPA or higher. To qualify as a team, there must be 5 nominations per team that averages a 3.2 GPA. The individuals and team must be nominated by their coach, who must be a member of the coaches' association. Coach Shores could not be prouder of her trio of athletes. "This is the third year in a row to have at least 3 athletes on the Academic All-American list. We ask a lot out of our student-athletes daily. This group not only excelled on the course and in training, but they got it done in the classroom as well. I'm extremely proud of their efforts."

Men's Cross Country:

Sophomore – Robert McIntyre (Mena, Arkansas) – 3.81 GPA

Freshmen – Anthony Sanchez (De Queen, Arkansas) – 3.77 GPA

Women's Cross Country:

Freshmen – Olivia Orr (Bryant, Arkansas) – 3.77 GPA

Freshmen – Kailey Pentz (Siloam Springs, Arkansas) – 3.6 GPA

Freshmen – Julianna Kennedy (Mena, Arkansas) – 3.6 GPA
