Nine Athletes Named to the Fall 2019 Vice Chancellor's List

Mena, Arkansas - Upon completion of the Fall 2019 semester, the University of Arkansas Rich Mountain has annouced the students named to the Chancellor's and Vice Chancellor's List. On those list were 9 soccer student-athletes. All athletes are required to enrolled in 15 or more hours along with maintain their practice, workout, and game schedules in the Fall semester. Along with that, each athlete is required to check-in for study hall every Friday in the library with their Athletic Advisor, Charlotte Wiles. Coach Brian Byrd couldn't be prouder of his athletes for their hardwork in the classroom. "My athletes know that the classroom comes first. The season can be a grind. They bust their tails on and off the pitch everyday, and I couldn't be prouder of how they've handled their business in the classroom." Athletic Director, Morris Boydstun, added, "This is a great accomplishment for these student-athletes. We stress that student always comes first before getting the rights to be an athlete. We tell every recruit that visits campus that the Chancellor's/Vice Chancellor's List, NJCAA All-Academic, and other academic honors will be much longer than any list of championships won. I expect this list to grow even more in the Spring 2020 semester."

Students named to the Vice Chancellor's List are full-time, current students who complete 12 semester credit hours or more, and earn a 3.5 to 3.99 grade point average.
