Raiders Shutout Bucks

Midwest City, Oklahoma – The Rich Mountain Bucks (2-10-3 overall; 2-7-3) squared off with the Rose State Raiders (12-2-2 overall; 9-1-2) on Thursday afternoon. The weather was about the worst combination to be outdoors: wet, cold, and windy. In a condensed match, due to field conditions and nasty weather, the Raiders shutout the Bucks 7-0.

To start the match, Rose State looked to start fast and did. After an unsuccessful shot, #1 Adrianna Schroeder (assist #8 Emily Elliott) found the back of the net in the 2nd minute of the match. Rose State would attempt two more shots and a corner kick before the Bucks would counter with a corner of their own. Adrianna Schroeder (assist #3 Mallorie Lane) would find the back of the net again in the 13th minute to increase the Rose State lead, 2-0. After the kickoff, Rose would fire another shot before Madison Zamudio would attempt a shot for the Bucks. The shot would be wide left. In the 24th minute, #12 April Rose (assist #3 Mallorie Lane) would connect on the third Raiders' goal of the afternoon. Rose State controlled the rest of the half, but came up empty on all attempts.

Rose State looked to increase their lead in the second half and did just that with 4 goals. In the 48th minute, April Hill (assist #9 Laura Caravajal Grana) scored her second goal of the match. Four minutes later, #13 Tarjel Knudsvig connected with the fifth Rose State goal. The Bucks would counter and trade shots with the Raiders. Inek Johnson and Madison Zamudio both attempted shots. Johnson's would be on frame and saved by the Raiders' keeper. Rose countered again with their sixth goal by #9 Laura Carvajal Grana. Just a minute later, #7 Chelsie Hay (assist #12 April Hill) would score the last goal of the match. The game would be called in the 60th minute by officials. The Raiders win 7-0.
