Bucks XC Finishes 29th at Chile Pepper Classic

Fayetteville, Arkansas – The Bucks' cross country team made the trip Saturday morning to the Chile Pepper to compete against some of the best talent in the country. The men ran against other NJCAA, NCAA DII, and NAIA schools. A total of 346 runners were in the second collegiate 8K race of the morning.

Ranger College's Jeremias Serrano lead the way with a time of 25:03.5. Once again, Jordan Foster (Mena, AR) lead the way for the Bucks. Foster set a personal record with a time of 27:18.3 to finish 77th. New Mexico native Michael Tenorio (Sante Fe, NM) finished second on the team with a time of 29:07.8 (188th). The Mena trio of Robert McIntyre (29:17.6/194th overall), Cross Hughes (29:49.0/ 220th overall), and Clint Buck (30:20.2/239th overall) rounded out the top five point scorers for the Bucks. The finishes were good enough for 29th in the 39 team field.

The Bucks will be competing for a NJCAA Region 2 Regional Championship on Saturday, October 12th, at the Lion's Club in Mena. Start time is 9 am.
