Eight Bucks Named to All-Region and All-Tournament Teams

Enid, Oklahoma – With the Region 2 Tournament completed, the First and Second Team All-Region Players were announced on Saturday between the men's and women's matches at D. Bruce Selby Stadium. The Rich Mountain Bucks had 4 men and 1 woman selected to the 22 selected members of the All-Region Teams. After the Regional Championship Game, the Bucks had 4 men named to the All-Tournament Team. Edward Garcia was named Tournament MVP.

Men All-Region Selections

Edward Garcia (Tournament MVP & All-Region Second Team) – The DeQueen, AR goal keeper led Region 2 with a 0.770 save percentage. Garcia is also in the top 5 in all other categories (goals-against, goals-against average, and saves).

Euwin Stevens (All-Region First Team & All-Tournament Team) – Stevens is the signal caller for Bucks Soccer from his center back role. Cape Town, South Africa's own has 2 goals and 2 assist on the season. He also recorded multiple defensive saves.

Josh Gounden (All-Region First Team & All-Tournament Team) – The storied Gounden battled a major ankle injury a year ago before arriving at UA Rich Mountain. The Durban, South Africa native leads the team in assists. He also scored 2 goals from his center mid and left back roles.

Caleb Summerfield (All-Region First Team) – The outspoken Summerfield is a staple on both the defensive and offensive sides of the ball for the Bucks. Usually in his right back role, Caleb is found all over the field. The Plymouth, England native has also scored 2 goals this season with multiple defensive saves.

Thomas Mullen (All-Tournament Team) – The striker from Strabane, Ireland has been a staple in the Bucks offensive surge as of late. Mullen scored two goals in the NOC-Tonkawa match and had a key assist against Rose State in the Regional Championship match.

Rodrigo De Castro (All-Tournament Team) – The midfielder from Brazil has been a centerpiece on both the offensive and defensive side of the ball for the Bucks. Rodrigo scored one of the Bucks' penalty kicks in their overtime victory in the Regional Semi-Final match verses NEO.

Women All-Region Selections

Maria Diedrick (All-Region Second Team) – Nobody plays harder or cares more than the Merrivale, South Africa native. Maria scored 1 goal on the season with 1 assist, but she could be considered the heart and soul of the Bucks inaugural team. She recorded more than her share of defensive saves from her center back role.
