
(April 7, 2025) Mena, Arkansas - After not getting to play during their bye week of region play due to the weather that swept through the region, the Bucks finally got back on the diamond this afternoon at Union Bank Field. The men took on North Arkansas in a 9-inning contest. The Bucks are preparing to start back in region play this week against Murray State.
It was a slow day at the ballpark, but the Bucks pulled out a 8-3 win.
Offensively, the Bucks recorded 9 hits and reached base 7 more times on walks. Dylan Gibson (Springdale, AR) was the only Buck in the lineup to record a pair hits. It was his first action back after an injury that occured during the Redlands series. He would record one of the three doubles on the day, including Ethan Miller (Hallsville, TX) and Gage Mullins (McAlester, OK).
The men drove in 5 RBIs on the day, all by different hitters.
It was pitching by committee this afternoon. Hayden McCarley (Dewitt, AR) got the started and lasted 3.0 innings. McCarley (2-0) got the win, giving up 1 run on 1 hit and struck out a pair. The rest of the pitching staff gave up 2 runs on 7 hits, striking out 2.
The men will now travel on Thursday to Tishomingo, Oklahoma to begin a 4-game series against Murray State.
