Bucks Move to Elimination Games; Fall to the Aggies

(May 13, 2022) Enid, Oklahoma - After a walk-off win the night before, the Bucks looked to keep the momentum going against a familiar foe, the Murray State Aggies. The Bucks beat the Aggies three out of four games just a little over a week ago in their regular season finale.

Murray State would control the game from the opening pitch. Everytime the Bucks would start an inning off with a hit or a walk, a double play or a strikeout would end the Bucks threat to produce runs. James McCormick (Benton, AR) would get the start in the game. The left hander lasted 4.0 innings, giving up 3 earned runs on 4 hits. He would strike out a pair but walked 3 in the outing.

Three Bucks had a good day at the plate, going 2 for 3: Luke Rice (Scott, AR), Wesley Featherston (Hope, AR), and Casey Shipley (Prairie Grove, AR). However, no runs would produced between the three of them.

After chasing McCormick, Grant Shankle (Van Buren, AR) and Cade Shrum (Greenwood, AR) pitched in relief, but the Aggies would end the game in 7 innings, 9-0.

The Bucks now move to the consolation bracket where they will face East Central Missouri tomorrow at 1 pm at David Allen Memorial Ballpark.
